In response to the Red Sox victory in game six, thousands of University of Massachusetts gathered in Southwest, only to have 35 arrested. Who says we don’t still got it? Tonight will be incredible. I’d expect thousands more to gather at the conclusion of the game. I hope my brother and the rest of the U-Mass police are ready.

That was enough to spark an intense craving for a big tray of honey barbeque wings from Wings in Amherst. I haven’t been posting too much lately because I’ve been spending nearly all my time for the past two weeks serving as a juror in Worcester. It’s over (finally). I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but let me make this clear, after two weeks of it, I can safely say I’m ready for the guaranteed three years off. WFXT (aka Channel 25, the local Fox channel) has cut back on the number of times it shows the Simpsons. It formerly aired reruns at both 6:30 and 7:30 (about which no one complained). In fact, nearly all my friends watched both airings, because, let’s face it, you just can’t get enough Simpsons (and with more than 13 seasons, it’s likely you haven’t seen them all either). Like they did with Sunday nights (canceling my beloved Futurama), they decided to fix something that wasn’t broken. They’ve shoved Malcolm in the Middle into the 6:30 slot. Don’t get me wrong, I like Malcolm. Only in small doses though. Every Sunday is almost too much already. ...
