My Second Red Sox Game
I wasn’t expecting to go to even a single game this year and now I’ve gone to two. I saw the first game of the double header against the Seattle Mariners today with my father.
I know it was Mother’s Day. Hush. The game was supposed to be last night but it got rained out. Also, dad was the one that got the tickets, so taking them a second time to see a game with someone else didn’t seem appropriate.
At any rate, the single greatest high point of the game was not the fact that we won. Nor was it that the tickets were for the grand stand. No, the best part was that Bellhorn was out most of the game.
Now if only it was permanent.

No, this has nothing to do with your post, but can I just say that the title graphic is absolutely adorable?
Wow, I sound shallow… lol.
Well, thanks. I’m trying to score some cute points with it. Seems like it’s working.
I hate you
What do you have against Bellhorn? He is a good 2nd baseman. Range is little limited but very competent. He is one of the faster guys on the team. He is a switch hitter. Lifetime .240. His hitting could improve a little this year but he isn’t that far off his usual.
Believe it or not, I think he should swing more, despite the k’s this year (and last.)
He’s a poor fielder (certainly nowhere as good as Pokey was). It bugs me to see us keep mediocre players like Bellhorn, but send players like Youk down to the minors, let go of players like Pokey Reese, and straight trade away players like Doug Mientkiewicz.
Epstein has gotten kind of erratic in his dealings and yet, Bellhorn is a mainstay despite being neither with the team very long or making a strong impact. It’s suspect.
