Minor Safari 2.0 Observation
I don’t think I’m the only one using a Mac that has become really accustomed to using context menus. Until I started using gestures to operate my web browser, I would regularly use the context menu to move back (because clicking the back button is really inconvenient).
Safari continually jerked me around by being the only browser that didn’t have back and forward options. It’s one of the most common functions. This finally changed in Tiger and Safari 2.0.
Thank you Apple.

safari 2.0 changed something else relating to contextual menu items that is now driving me crazy. i used to right click the back/forward buttons to skip back or forward several pages at a time. now, right-clicking those buttons brings up a contextual menu to customize the toolbar. the function i want can still be had by holding down the left-click for a moment, but i hate having to retrain myself for something i do hundreds of times a day…..
while i’m ranting, i’m annoyed to see “remove from dock” appear in the contextual menu of dock items. if i wanted to remove it from the dock, i’d just drag it out!
I see Remove From Dock as a god send, but I certainly hate not being able to skip multiple pages with ease.
