Good article,

Interestingly enough - I agree with you.

Teenagers these days, lack respect, lack ambition, and seem to generally not have goals in life.

Well how should I know? I'm 17 years old, and different than the rest. Entitlement complex -- luckily I realized something, I live in America, and living in America I am presented with opportunities that many other people in the world are not fortunate enough to have.

As a result, I started my own business when I was 16 -- and have matured, and acted like a reasonable adult with my business dealings. As a result -- I make more money than most educated people make.

Essentially, if we all were:

More respectful

More willing to help

More friendly (Hi Boss, how was the vaction?)

More considerate and understanding

AND FOR THE CORE OF IT... we need to realize WE ARE IN CONTROL OF OUR OWN LIVES! Don't waste time, and don't make excuses!

I'm discouraged and upset by the entitlement complex kids today have, too. I don't want that to be the case with my 3-year-old when she grows up. Read the book, The Relaxed Parent by Tim Smith. It's really great and it talks about this very subject and how to avoid it in your own kids.
